Just wanted Chinese dinner within walking distance of our resort. We really struck paydirt with Greenwood. The spot was crowded with Chinese families and exuberant groups of academics but we were welcomed and supported attentively and effectively.
They certainly were proud of a unique selection - plus it had been enticing, beautifully illustrated and attractive with interesting options, from jellyfish and fried tofu to BBQ platters and pigs' trotters. With a Chinese beer and one cup of good house Savvy, we selected conservatively - and restaurant don't miss a beat in hitting the quality button.
The acts had been all acutely ample. The steamed white chicken with ginger was perfect. The BBQ pork loin had been both succulent and crispy. The green beans had been as effective as that great dish gets. But, piece de weight was the Australian scallops with eggwhite. This can be a fantastic meal, light and fragile, nearly ethereal, yet considerable and exotic. Therefore the substantial broccoli garnish offset it well.
